# Computer can not see ethernet connection with board PYNQ-Z2

Hi there,

Have you tried connecting to your board via [USB serial](https://pynq.readthedocs.io/en/latest/getting_started/pynq_z2_setup.html#opening-a-usb-serial-terminal)?  
From the serial terminal can you type `ip a` to see if your device has an ip address.
