Hello everyone.

I’m using a new RFSoC 4x2 with the latest PYNQ image (v3.0.1) downloaded from the official PYNQ website:
[PYNQ - Python productivity for Zynq - Board](http://www.pynq.io/board.html)

I tried to use the mini-display port using the notebooks provided on Xilinx’s GitHub:
[RFSoC-PYNQ/boards/RFSoC4x2/notebooks/common/display\_port\_introduction.ipynb at master · Xilinx/RFSoC-PYNQ · GitHub](https://github.com/Xilinx/RFSoC-PYNQ/blob/master/boards/RFSoC4x2/notebooks/common/display_port_introduction.ipynb)

I received an error message at the beginning, as shown in the image. It says “Ignoring unconnected port”

Thank you very much for your future help!

I found the solution; my issue was with the type of Mini-Display to HDMI adapter. It was a passive adapter.

The only important thing is to use the active mini-Display-Port to HDMI adapter as it explained here:

> **[Accessories](http://www.rfsoc-pynq.io/accessories.html)**
>
> RFSOC-PYNQ is an extension to PYNQ which support the AMD-Xilinx Zynq RFSoC family of devices.

I tried following adapter and it works fine (black one):

> **[StarTech.com Mini DisplayPort to HDMI Adapter - Active mDP to HDMI Video...](https://www.amazon.ca/StarTech-MDP2HD4KS-DisplayPort-Audio-Converter/dp/B00LV9SUVU)**
>
> The MDP2HD4KS Mini DisplayPort to HDMI adapter enables you to connect a mDP-equipped Ultrabook, tablet or laptop computer, such as the ThinkPadT440 series, to an HDMI display. This adapter is compatible with Mini DisplayPort 1.2 & HDMI 4K @ 30 Hz and...

You should connect the board to monitor with the adaptor and then power recycle the board, then you should see that the PYNQ will appear! Like this:
