PYNQ: PYTHON PRODUCTIVITY

Can pre-built rootfs images be used for building all PYNQ versions?

Hi,

The latest rootfs images are on pynq.io. Will these also work for all prior PYNQ releases when porting to other boards?

Thanks!

No, you should use the correct version of the rootfs.
Are you trying to build an image using an older version of PYNQ for another board? If so, could you let us know why?

Cathal

Thanks Cathal,

Yes, a Zedboard. The reason is that it is less trouble right now to create an older version of PYNQ than upgrade many workstations with new tools. Where can older revisions of PYNQ rootfs be found for download or perhaps a script to regenerate?

Kind regards

We can provided older files. I’ll send you a direct message.

Cathal
