So I have the ZCU104 board setup in the loopback mode in which the hdmi in is connected to the hdmi out. I configure the mode of the hdmi out to be 48 bpp (16 bit for each channel) and confirm that this is valid. I started the hdmi in and checked that the mode is 24 bpp. I thought the mode of the hdmi in will mirror whatever that it is connected to, which is hdmi out. When the data is send out from hdmi out into hdmi in, the received data has its lower 8 bits of channel chop off. Is there a way to set the hdmi in to have 16 bit color depth?
