Hello all,
I made a case for RFSoC 4x2 a while ago. Cathal asked me to upload it here. I am sorry I did not get a chance earlier, but here it is:
RFSoC 4x2.zip (1.8 MB)
I used Prusa MK3+ to print it.
Please let me know if you had any issue downloading the files.
This is great! Thank you for sharing your work!
Would it be possible to post a photo of your case?
Thank you again!
A bit suggestion, this is tough for general size 3D printer.
Slice the side wall and bottom plate to smaller pics which can make SLA or FDM easy go.
Meantime, the screw mounting can be improve:
So a simple heating and press can done wonderfully to hold the M3/M2 screw.
Great job~
Very nice! That should keep the PYNQ RFSoC 4x2 safe and comfortable.
All of the PYNQ capable RFSoC boards, zcu111, zcu216 & zcu208 could use something like this. Those kits also have extension boards that bring the differential signals out to sma conectors. The out of the box way they mechanically attach could benefit as well.
Kind regards,
-Fred
I printed mine using PETG, which is soft, so instead I used nut and screw. It is possible, with some minor modification, to machine it from Aluminum, or 3D print using harder plastic and tap three plastic.

This is also great. Would you mind sharing which 3D CAD editor you used to make these designs? If I wanted to alter it - using the STL files alone is difficult I think?
Geevy,
Thanks for sharing!
Would it be possible to also share the CAD files, for editing in SolidWorks, AutoCAD, Fusion360, etc?
Thanks a lot!
Florent
Hi All - are there any 3D printing service that can print this case? I have tried locally and some of the parts in this design are too thin for our local 3D printing service to handle?
Geevy,
Thank you for sharing this design. Can you also share the screw size on the bottom plate? Thanks.
It should be printable for most printers.
