I am a complete beginner working on audio processing with the PYNQ-Z2. I designed a simple real-time low-pass filter using the Xilinx I2S Receiver and Transmitter IP blocks together with the onboard ADAU1761 codec, but I am not getting any sound from the headphone jack. My main issue is that I am not sure how to correctly initialize the ADAU1761 or whether it should be set as the I2S master or slave for this board. Different examples online use different clock settings and register values, especially with the 12.288 MHz MCLK on the PYNQ-Z2, so I don’t know which setup is correct. Because of this confusion, I can’t get even a basic audio path or my low-pass filter to work. I need clear guidance on the proper ADAU1761 initialization and I2S configuration for this board.
