Pynq Z2 DfRobot vs TUL

Hi all,

I ordered a Pynq Z2 to get started with FPGA. Unfortunately I realized late that I ordered a PYNQ Z2 from DfRobot and not the supported TUL board from this page. Are these two boards 100% compatible or are compatibility problems to be expected? I’d like to tinker mainly with simple PL designs in Vivado (maybe some robotics stuff) and later also try the Python route.

Hi,

It is the same board, TUL is the manufacturer and you bought it from a distributor.

Thanks a lot for the information! I bought it from Mouser, and it is sold as “DfRobot PYNQ-Z2”, maybe it would be good to include a note somewhere on the pynq info pages?
