High speed data input through HDMI

Hello,

I was wondering if one could use something like this on the pynq z1;
https://www.cesdeals.com/product/geekworm-lvds-to-hdmi-adapter-board-converter-support-1080p-resolution-202900?currency=GBP&gclid=CjwKCAiA-P7xBRAvEiwAow-VaeKTMTCVYXEQ4bFFu80DCeTMrTN6WqEM9l9QFjmV-MBImkv61KTcXxoCjpQQAvD_BwE

To get a high data rate input directly into the fpga fabric through HDMI in, from a high speed ADC.

What do you think?

Cheers!

It is going to be hard to say without trying it, but after a quick look, I don’t see any obvious issue. I know other people have used the HDMI as high speed interfaces as they connect direct to PL pins.

Thank you for the reply!
That is what I was thinking also. Do you have a link to their work?
I will definitely give it a go and report back when i find an appropriate adc also.
