Real Digital The RFSoC 4x2 USB JTAG implementation for Configuration

Hi,
I’ve a few questions USB JTAG IC used in RFSoC 4x2 | Real Digital
The RFSoC 4x2 | Real Digital uses FT2232 USB UART.
My doubt is how USB to JTAG is used for FPGA Configuration.
Xilinx forum says that only way of use is either Digilent JTAG USB module which comes with license keys which Digilent takes cares.
https://support.xilinx.com/s/article/68889?language=en_US
Xilinx says Some proprietary internal solutions is used and can not be provided to the customer.
How here in this RFSoC 4x2 board it has been done, if they can not share the internal solution.

Also Can’t be done like this:
Also can’t this be done from Eval board or any other

Hi team,
Awaiting for your reply

You just need to connect a MicroUSB cable to the JTAG/UART port. You can use this as a UART, and also to program the board.

Hi cathalmccabe
When I directly connect thorugh USB for JTAG, it’ll be detected in Vivado Hardware manager?

Yes

FTDI EEPROM has Xilinx proprietary solution? How it has been implemented

I can’t add anything more to this than the info on the webpage you linked. It is a proprietary solution. If you want something for a custom board you can follow the link for the recommended solutions.
