Initial setup: test fail

  • RFSOC 4x2 Pynq
    Upon following the quick start guide, the setup continues normally until step 4.2 where the LCD should display an IP address. Rather than an IP address I receive a notification from the LCD saying, “Test Fail”. I checked the micro-SD provided and have attached the files located on the card.

@Nikita

Follow user manual, Image at the below (Resources):
https://www.realdigital.org/hardware/rfsoc-4x2
Use the default image and the 4 steps and see if this is still problematic.

ENJOY~

Followed those 4 steps and I got the test fail message. That is why I checked the micro sd to see what was on it.

Hi @Nikita,

Try downloading and burning a new sd card image for the RFSoC4x2 from PYNQ - Python productivity for Zynq - Board.

Thanks
Shawn

When I plug the SD card into my computer two drives pop up. Which one would you recommend I try burning a new image to?

@Nikita

Simply if you use Windows, right click on the ‘start logo’ left bottom and disk manager.
remove all partition of the SD card.

Use ‘Win32DiskImager’ to burn the image to the SD location.

ENJOY~

Hi @Nikita,

The process to flash the SD card image is described here
