PYNQ on Cora Z7 - USB not working

.

Just starting with PYNQ on the Cora Z7 board and have downloaded the 3.1 image from GitHub - devsaurus/Pynq-Cora-Z7-07S: SD card image and base files for building PYNQ on Digilent's Cora Z7-07S · GitHub

The system starts OK and I can get python running etc.

But the USB is not working. Command lsusb shows no devices even through there is a dongle in the USB slot. Also there is no device in /dev/…

Revision is

Release 3.1 (Carlisle) 2025_10_03 19ed17d
Board 2025_10_03 20c6bce

Note we have had the USB up and running in other releases of Ubuntu.

Hi @PeteAllwright

Unfortunately I’m not familiar with that particular board. It might be worth raising an issue on their GitHub repo.

Thanks for the reply.

The Cora Z7 is a Xilinx board with an onboard Arm processor and an FPGA. We are developing the next generation of cave radio for use initially in cave rescue but could have other uses.

My colleague is looking into this matter.
